We've been holding tight to some news. Some wonderful news that after our experience with GuoXin we felt we needed to wait until sharing. Wait until we had our official referral from China. Well today we got the call from our agency that the Seeking Confirmation Letter had arrived from China! They are going to overnight it to us and we should have the official referral tomorrow for our 8 year old daughter, Fu Min Xiu. She is currently living in Fuzhou (pronounced Fu-Joe) City, in Jiangxi Provence. We should be traveling mid-May to meet her and bring her home.

Congratulations! What a beautiful girl! I'm sorry, I am a bit confused. Are you waiting to adopt another child as well? The blog references "Kate", but your daughter is named Lauren. Just curious. I know, sometimes, plans and names change!

We are leaving to adopt our daughter from Jiangxi Province in about 3 weeks. Congratulations on your referral and i hope you have a quick TA! I don't know if you watch the yahoo group boards but I think it might be your daughter that is in a video on Youtube? Go to youtube.com then search They're Coming to America. There is a man interviewing (2) 8 year old girls.
I know the one is a girl that CHI has placed from the OCT WC list. The other one looks like you daughter. Good luck!

Michelle, Kate is a name that I've loved for a long time and had thought I would use someday for a daughter. But when I saw the picture of Min, neither Phil nor I thought Kate was right for her.
Tammy, I did see the post on the yahoo boards. I believe that both of those girls are from Luoyang orpanage. I do remember them from the October list and it was wonderful to see video of them! Animated and smiling!
